I grew up in southern middle Tennessee around craft and woods. The name Wolf Creek comes from a community close to my hometown and from an old country store tied to the place. I still live in Tennessee, a bit farther north — and every piece of leather I sell is handmade by me in Cross Plains.
This started as a workshop hobby and turned into a real side of my life. I keep a day job; the leather work has to earn its keep before I can change that. I make gear because I want to — not just to turn a profit. I like making things that stay useful and tough enough to still be used years later. Holsters and gear for people who carry tools, not props for a photoshoot.
I spent enough years around hard use — in the woods growing up, Scouting, and then the Army — to care whether something stays on a belt when you’re busy. I don’t sell a design I won’t carry myself. Wickett & Craig veg-tan, patterned for the tool you actually own, built to last.
Now, I’m not going to lie: I’ve seen some of those better-made OEM nylon and Velcro pouches last a decent amount of time. Even the well-made ones wear out, though. Whereas a good leather holster, wiped down even just once a year with a quality care product, can easily be handed to your grandkids — a history of hard work and resilience. That’s something nylon can never do.
